What Is a Shallot?
A shallot is a member of the onion family that tastes like a cross between an onion and garlic – it’s mild with a slight sweetness. While a raw shallot does have a delicious and delicate flavor, it’s true beauty is not realized until you preform the simple yet precise task of roasting it. Once roasted, the natural sugars caramelize and the shallot takes on a complex flavor that adds depth and dimension to its previously raw form.
Our goal is to take whole ingredients and transform them into gourmet dishes using simple techniques that elevate and improve flavors without over processing or compromising the food. Simple – nutritious – delicious!

The Roasted Shallot is a concept developed over years of experience as both chefs and lovers of great food. Our passion for food drives us to make every dish as clean and delicious as possible. To do this we rely heavily on our local community to provide everything from our farm fresh produce to financial planning. Our company is not only focused on local and sustainable sourcing methods but overall environmental consciousness as well. We want to be able to support our community and be an example of responsible food production and service. In order to do this, we are involved in programs such as Local First Arizona, urban agricultural projects and actively participate in recycling, composting, and total utilization of resources. When ever possible, we donate unused products to food banks and other programs such as One True Love, that keep our waste to a minimum and help feed those in need. Food Is Love
We’ve been married for 10 years and have always worked together. Some say the most important ingredient in food is love and there’s no shortage of that when we cook together. Cooking what you love – with the people you love – is where nourishment meets happiness!
